Curatorial Associate, Rondo Music Academy (Part-Time)

We are seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organised Curatorial Associate to support the development and implementation of Rondo Music Academy’s public-facing artistic and educational programmes. Managed by Rondo Production and reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be essential in shaping the Academy’s programme calendar through curation, venue activation, community engagement initiatives, and activation opportunities. The Curatorial Associate will help transform Rondo Music Academy into a lively cultural hub by balancing artistic innovation with operational excellence and sustainability.

 

Location : Based in Klang Valley
Type : Part-Time (2 or 3-day work week, to be discussed)
Arrangement : Hybrid (Remote + In-Person, to be discussed)

 

Responsibilities:
  • Curate and coordinate public-facing performances and educational events
  • Assist in developing a dynamic programme calendar aligned with Rondo’s vision
  • Support visiting artists/guests and collaborative programming initiatives
  • Research and propose relevant programming opportunities
  • Support venue utilisation through programming and rental opportunities
  • Develop programmes that strengthen public engagement and community participation
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, budgeting support, and administrative processes
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Music, Performing Arts, Arts Management, Event Management, Marketing, Education, or related field (Master’s is an advantage).
  • Fresh graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin (Bahasa Malaysia is a bonus).
  • Experience in arts, culture, education, or impact-driven organisations is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Marketing or audience development experience is a bonus
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during peak periods.
