A unique blend of high-level performance opportunities, personalised mentoring and professional development to redefine your career and impact communities through music.
Our year-long Chamber Fellowship Programme is designed to equip young chamber groups with the skills to excel in a career that combines musical excellence with teaching, community engagement and advocacy. This unique programme offers a wealth of performance opportunities, first-class professional development and the chance to perform at various regional festivals throughout the year.

Fellows will have the opportunity to collaborate on chamber music pieces with distinguished mentor artists and benefit from personalised guidance through private mentoring sessions and group discussions. The programme includes a comprehensive professional development curriculum, tailored to ensure that Fellows acquire the necessary skills to thrive in all aspects of their careers. This curriculum empowers Fellows to forge a meaningful and fulfilling career path that reimagines the role of the musician in the 21st century.

We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply, particularly those from groups traditionally under-represented in classical music. Our programme is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion, reflecting the rich tapestry of voices that contribute to the future of classical music.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there a minimum age for applicants?
The programme may require the chamber group musicians to travel within Malaysia or even abroad, so it is not ideal for students who need a parent or guardian to accompany them.
If my chamber group is selected, will we coordinate the rehearsals ourselves?
You are encouraged to do so, as the selected group will be given a schedule of performances and mentoring sessions in advance, and will usually have a limited amount of time available at the venue(s) before the performances and sessions.
Will there be a performance every month?
No, unless there is a change in the schedule, which will be communicated in advance.
I don't have a chamber group, can I still apply?
Unfortunately, no. As the programme is primarily focused on the development of chamber music, we strongly encourage you to have an existing group with which you intend to apply.
