We offer 3 application phases so you can save more when you apply early. The final deadline is 13 Feb 2026 — but the earlier you apply, the bigger your cashback.
Example: If you submit your application before 12 Dec 2025 (Phase 1) and are accepted after the audition, your registration fee is RM1,750. If you also joined our pre-registration list, you’ll enjoy an early-bird rate of RM1,500 — a RM250 discount.

Is the registration fee inclusive of meals, accommodation & transportation?
The registration fee varies by programme and includes different benefits; please refer to the programme guidelines for details: < Orchestral >.
Can I get financial assistance for the festival?
We only offer needs-based financial assistance and scholarships. You can indicate this during the application and audition process.
I pre-registered and submitted my application during Phase 1. Do I receive RM500 in cash as cashback?
The RM500 cashback is not given in cash, but applied directly to your registration fee. If you are offered a position, your payable registration fee will be RM1,500 instead of RM2,000
Do I need to audition for the festival and tour?
All applicants must submit an audition clip and only those who are offered a position will be accepted into the festival. Participation without auditioning is not possible, as we strive to uphold the artistic standards of the festival. We encourage you to view the audition process as a valuable learning experience — one that is both rewarding and worthwhile.
Do I pay the registration fee upfront or after I am accepted?
The registration fee is payable upon acceptance of the offer. There is no application fee for auditions prior to this.
Can I get an official letter from my school/institution/employer to request leave to attend the Festival?
Am I allowed to take care of my kid if he/she is under 18 years old and wants to audition for the festival?

Does the festival provide insurance?
Everyone involved in the festival, including artists, faculty, and management, is covered by insurance.
When should I arrive in Penang?
It is recommended to arrive 1 day early on 28 May 2026. It is up to you to make further arrangements beyond the festival dates.
