No. Applications and auditions are completely free. The registration fee is payable only if you are offered and accept a place at RondoFest 2027.
We offer 2 application phases so you can save more by applying early. The final deadline is 13 February 2027.
Example: Apply by 17 January 2027 (Phase 1) and, if accepted after your audition, pay only RM2,000 instead of RM2,250. If you also pre-registered, enjoy an additional RM250 discount, bringing your registration fee down to just RM1,750.

Yes. The registration fee includes flights, accommodation, airport transfers and ground transportation during the international tour from 14–17 June 2027, including the group return flight to Kuala Lumpur. Accommodation, local transportation and airport transfers during the Kuala Lumpur residency are not included.
The registration fee is payable upon acceptance of the offer. There is no application fee for auditions before that.
The RM500 cashback is not given in cash; it is applied directly to your registration fee. If you are offered a position, your payable fee will be RM1,750 instead of RM2,250.
Yes, you can still apply! We encourage you to apply. By the time the audition results are announced, you should have enough information to decide whether to commit to the full programme.
All applicants must submit an audition clip, and only those who are offered a position will be accepted into the festival. Participation without auditioning is not possible, as we strive to uphold the festival’s artistic standards. We encourage you to view the audition process as a valuable learning experience — one that is both rewarding and worthwhile.
No. Upload your video to YouTube as an Unlisted video and submit its link in the application form. Please ensure that the link is accessible without requesting permission.
Active participants must bring their own instruments. The festival will provide only double basses, harps, piano, percussion instruments and music stands.
Yes. Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their travel from their home city to Kuala Lumpur before the festival and their return journey home after the international tour.
We only offer needs-based financial assistance and scholarships. You can indicate this during the application and audition process.
We understand that plans can change, but please note that once you are accepted, you will be expected to be available for the full duration. This includes both the Festival and the Tour, as they are integral parts of the programme. We regret that we cannot accommodate partial attendance.
We recommend arriving one day early — 5 June 2027. You are responsible for making any arrangements beyond the festival dates.
Yes, we do offer the opportunity to extend your stay in the tour country. We will send details to accepted applicants once the results have been announced.
We encourage you to prepare your preferred materials (study, etude, concerto) for the individual lesson.
For most instruments, you will be assigned to one artist faculty member for your instrument or studio. For violin participants, you may indicate your preferred artist faculty once you have been offered a position.
Only a few participants can perform at the masterclasses. We will provide more information as soon as possible. Everyone is welcome to observe and ask questions during the masterclasses.
No, memorisation is not required unless you personally wish to perform from memory.
The international tour destination remains subject to confirmation. RondoFest will communicate any changes to participants and provide updated travel information as arrangements are finalised.
English is the official language, including rehearsals, workshops and other activities.

Everyone involved in the festival is covered by insurance.
Once you have been offered and accepted a position, the registration fees are non-refundable. However, special considerations may be granted for emergencies (e.g. medical issues, family emergencies) on a case-by-case basis.
